I am Nay the Goat. Owner and creator of Kysani's Diamond Collection, located in Chicago, IL since 2018. I uniquely designed our domain, logos, and graphic designs with love.I was born and raised in a dedicated family of salon owners that is independent, sought-after, and ambitious. Being the fourth generation, my sister, mother, and I we run our own salon.
Soon, my four-year-old daughter will join us. Through our products and services, our business revenued $200k in 2020. I started this brand from rage to bring quality, long lasting products for women to embrace their inner glam girl. I have an obsession with hair, lashes, clothes and accessories. A shopaholic, I love to support ambitious business owners. As a kid, I wanted to be the same as " That's So Raven", because she was an outgoing, ambitious fashionista who was loved by many people.
As a hairstylist, I did not start out selling hair. Branding was almost not on my mind. It's because many hair vendors fell in love with my work and handed me a lot of clients.
Eventually, we realized that the hair didn't behave as advertised. Consequently, finding a good hair vendor with great customer service became extremely frustrating. It was difficult to find some good hair!
In essence, as Chicago's favorite hairstylist, it's essential to me to educate my customers, provide quality products and uplifting services to ensure they get the most satisfying value for their money.
All About Me
My brand is named after the beautiful daughter I gave birth to on March 19th, 2017, Za'leinah Kysani Wouldfolk. The brand will be worth billions in the future, and I want my kids, grandkids, and great grandkids to inherit it. Kysani lives life as a princess. Every time I spoil her I make sure it is the best quality of anything that makes her happier and wiser. She has a vanity in the Diamond Girl Palace where she sometimes does my clients' hair and make up. The brand will one day be in her hands. We highly appreciate every single one of our supporters, from our customers to those who send referrals and talk about our products to others. WE LOVE YOU, YOU’RE THE BEST!
My hair horror story...
For the LAST TIME, I was scammed in June 2016! Even though I purchased hair from a well-known local hair company, they sent me a ‘bad batch’. The hair was exceptionally thin and easily tangled. Because I had several hair clients who were loyal to them, I trusted them. Despite how professionally I asked for an exchange, they were extremely rude and blocked me. It almost ruined my graduation! I cried like a baby. I felt betrayed and ignored.
Despite being the girl who did everyone's hair in high school, I couldn't find any hair I liked.
At that point, I thought I had no other options. I was down and depressed. Thankfully, I was saved by a hair hero! I received free bundles from a salon owner in Wisconsin, who also had her top hair stylist install them. It was like a happy dream come true. I never expected it to happen. They were 4 hours away, but didn't matter to me. I begged my granny to bring me there, I didn't want to miss out. The girls treated me like a princess, and I looked like one too. In essence, there's no word that can describe the happiness I felt that day.
In the end, I left with an urge to become just like that hero company. After all, they changed my whole view of hair companies. Their salon was exquisite, and they were so friendly, welcoming, and inspiring. Since then, I have made a promise to offer only luxury quality, long lasting products and a beautiful attitude with my brand. My brand allows women to blossom into the stars they were meant to be. Regardless of the price, distance, or even how long it takes, I will do everything in my power to make my Diamond Girls feel empowered, strong, and charismatic.
